John Dawkins, Jr.

John Dawkins, Jr., 70, of Gaffney, SC, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Palmetto Patriots Home in Gaffney, SC. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Davis and Jo Helena Kelly. His Christian journey began at Cumming Street Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC. He was a graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School and later attended college before honorably serving our nation in the United States Army.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Meagan Dawkins. John was a man of few words but possessed a strong and endearing spirit that will be missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan Artledge; seven grandchildren; his loving sister, Gail (Robert) Martin; and numerous other relatives and dear friends who will sorely miss him.
