John Edward Coleman

John Edward Coleman, 69, 1817 Jonesville Highway, of Union, SC passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Spartanburg Medical Center.  A native of Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Coleman and Lothan McKissick Coleman.  He attended the public schools of Union County and was a former employee of Smith Lumber Company.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in deatth by one brother, Perry Coleman and three sisters, Florence Chamberlain, Delois Coleman, and Ernestine Rice.  He is survived by three brothers, Arthur Coleman, Jr. of Union, SC, James Coleman of Boston MA, and Ronnie Lee Coleman of Union, SC; one sister, Gladys Stevens of Union, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
