Sunrise:
Joella Kershaw “Booche” Hardy was born on April 10, 1955 in Union County SC. A resident of Pacolet, SC, she was the daughter of the late Columbus Kershaw and Mable Smith Kershaw.
A Life Well Spent:
Joella attended Union County Public School. She served at New Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a former employee of Arrow Automotive. She was an avid cook and baker and enjoyed every moment while preparing food with love.
Sunset:
On May 16, 2021, Joella gained her wings and entered eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Antuwan Marquise Shippy; four brothers, Israel Kershaw, Norris Kershaw, Tina Kershaw, and Leroy Kershaw; and two sisters, Floree Kershaw Wilkes and Willie Lee Kershaw Smith.
She leaves to cherish:
Joella leaves to cherish: her loving husband, Roosevelt Hardy of the home; two daughters, Angela Kershaw and April (Samuel) Green both of Pacolet, SC; two sons, Cornelius Hardy of the home and Adrian (Robin) Jeter of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers: Alex ( Lorraine) Kershaw and James (Marilyn) Kershaw both of Jonesville, SC; five sisters, Blanche Kershaw, Doshia Kershaw, and Edna Kershaw all of Jonesville, SC, Nan Rogers of OH, and Laurie (Rev. John) Henderson of Union, SC; six grandchildren, Tyler Shippy, Markevius Hardy, Maziyah Foster, Dontae Jeter, TyKerrius Jeter, and Zycorrian Jeter; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Wannamaker and Minnie Kershaw; two nieces reared in the home, Tawonna Brannon and Lachandro Kershaw; a loving “son”, Warren Shippy; a loyal friend, Elizabeth “Boo Boo” Rodgers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and other loving relatives and friends.
