Joe Dean Smith

Joe Dean Smith, 67, of Gaffney, SC, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September, 3, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late Boyd Lee and Hazel Pearson Smith. He attended Gaffney High School and was a former employee of the City of Gaffney. Mr. Smith was a member of I Live Ministries, Spartanburg, SC, where he served faithfully as a deacon. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Torry Littlejohn, three brothers, Boyd L. Smith , Jr., Charles Henry Smith, Jackie Smith, and one sister, Bessie Smith.

Joe leaves fond and precious memories to one son, Brendal Littlejohn; one daughter, Kelly Littlejohn; six loving grandchildren; one adoring great-grandchild; two brothers, Timothy (Kisha) Smith, David Smith; three sisters, Phebe Smith, Marsha Rainey, Hazel D. Smith; and a host of devoted, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, church family and friends, all of whom will sorely miss his presence. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
