Joe "Joe Baby" Means

Joe "Joe Baby" Means, 80, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Jessie Means and Mary Robinson Means. He attended Lincoln High School in Fairforest, SC, and retired from the City of Spartanburg. 

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Jessie Means, Jr., Johnnie Means, Dennis Means, Willie Lee Means, and Rickie Means; six sisters, Annie Bivings, Kay Francis Swindler, Mary Alice Keenon, Louise Hollis, Minnie Lee Kearns, and Rosa Fowler. 

Those left to cherish fond memories are two daughters, Angela Ross of Arlington, VA and Sheila Williams of Duluth, GA; one brother, Bensolo Means of Spartanburg, SC; one sister Joann Jones of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc. 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
