Mr. Joe Louis Gallman of Union, SC passed away on Sunday July 11, 2021, at the Heartland Health Care Center. Joe was born on July 19, 1936.   A native of Union County, SC, he was the husband of Mrs. Carolyn Jean Smith Gallman for fifty-three years and the son of the late Deacon Willie Lee Gallman and Mrs. Aileen Gist Gallman. At an early age, Mr. Gallman accepted Christ and joined the Mitchell Chapel Baptist Church.  Upon relocating to Spartanburg, South Carolina, he united with the Mount Moriah Baptist Church where he served faithfully until declining health. Joe was a graduate of Sims High School.  Shortly after graduation, Mr. Gallman enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country for 4 years. Joe was employed and retired from the General Motors located in Saginaw Michigan.   He leaves to cherish fond memories: His wife, Mrs. Carolyn Jean Smith Gallman,  and a son, Mr. Christopher A. Gallman both of the home; A daughter, Ms. Tanya Ucenia Gallman of Kennesaw, GA; Two grandchildren, Ms. India Latrese Gallman of Tigard, Oregon and Mr. Cameron James Price of Kennesaw, GA;  A brother, Mr. Willie Eugene Gallman of Dallas, Texas; Nine Sisters, Rudy Copeland, Carolyn Miller, and Mamie Calhoun all of Buffalo, NY; Emma (Marshall) Ford of Lithonia, Ga; Barbara (Raymond) Wright of Stone Mountain, GA; Ruth Horne of Houston, Texas; Linda Mohmed of Dallas Texas, Alice Lovette of Daytona Beach, Florida; Frances Jeter of Union, SC.  He also leaves a host brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other special friends.    Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
