Clifford Gene Bennett, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Ernest Odell Bennett and Rosie Lee Lyles Bennett.
Clifford was educated in the Public Schools of Spartanburg County. He was known to many as “Big Ben”. He dedicated many years of service at Pulliam Investment Company and INA bearing in Spartanburg, SC.
In addition to his parents, Clifford was predeceased by two brothers, Jimmy Bennett and Joe Bennett; and two sisters, Jessie Mae Harris and Carrie Ann Briggs.
Clifford leaves precious memories to his children, Tammy (Calvin) Littlejohn, Deborah Bennett, Tony Bennett, Keith (Wendy) Bennett, and Jerrod Briggs; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Willie L. “Jap” Bennett; sisters, Daisy Nash, Dorothy Fuller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
