Janie Mae Moorman Means, 73, of 142-144 East Lee Street, Union, SC passed away, Wednesday morning, May 26, 2021, at her residence. A native of Union County, SC, she was the wife of John E. Means of the home and the daughter of the late Kinard Sam Moorman and Lady Bell Green Moorman. She was a member of McBeth Baptist Church and a graduate of Sims High School. She previously worked for Conso Products. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Yvonne Moorman Means "Bonnie" Dawkins; five brothers, Kinard "Sonny" Moorman, twins, Lonzell and Donzell Moorman, Russell Moorman, and John Arthur Moorman and two sisters, Hazel Lee Ferguson and Mary Moorman Harris "Lib" Johnson. Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Ladie M. Means-Goforth of the home; one stepdaughter, Marvette A. Woodruff of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jesse James "PI" (Geneva) Moorman of Union, SC; two sisters, Evangelist Geneva Joiner of Cincinnati, OH and Evangelist Queen (Donald) Stevens of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends at the home. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc. of Union, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
