James Arthur Steen

James Arthur Steen , 75, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Monday night, August 24, 2020 in White Oak Manor Nursing Home. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John and Jeanette Steen Davenport. Mr. Steen was a United States Army Veteran having received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Marksman (Rifle M-16 & Pistol), Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, 2D Class Gunner (81MM Mortar) ONEO/S Bar. He was employed at RR Donnelley as a Line Supervisor. He was preceded in death by one son, Frankie Dawkins; one sister,  Patricia Ann Otah; and one brother, Elvis Wade Davenport. He leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons, Timothy Dwayne (Ralanda) Steen of Inman, SC and Mark Anthony (Sheryl) Steen of GA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, David Russell Davenport of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Rose Anita Davis of Spartanburg, SC and Brenda Joyce Prude' of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom will sorely miss him. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
