James Earl "Bunk" Jeter

James Earl "Bunk" Jeter, Sr., 69, of Union, SC passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020.  A native of Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Ray Jeter and Helen Ruth Byrd Jeter.      He was educated in the Union County School District and graduated from York Technical College.  He retired from the SC DOT as a machine operator. He was a 1969 graduate of Sims High School,  a member of Widows Son Masonic Lodge #36 and Tamin Temple #155.     He leaves his fond memories to his two sons, James Earl Jeter Jr., and John (Tosha) Jeter both of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Lisa Byrd of Philadelphia, PA; a host of other relatives and friends.  Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union is in charge of the arrangements.
