Harold Lawson Gossett, Sr.

Harold Lawson Gossett, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his residence. A native of Union, SC, he was the widower of Reatha Mary Poole Gossett, and the son of the late Lawson Gossett and Madora Dawkins Gossett. 

Harold attended Sims High School in Union, SC. He was of Baptist faith. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Eric Giles, Harold Lawson, Jr., and Kermit Gossett; and one daughter, Cheryl Peake. 

He leaves to cherish precious and fond memories to his daughter, Demetria Gossett of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Gossett of Union, SC, and James Gossett of Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
