Georgia Ann "Joyce" Green

Georgia Ann "Joyce" Green Allen, 65, of Union, SC, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Union County, she was the wife of Lenwood Allen and daughter of both the late, Henry Allen Green and Bessie Helen Smith Green.

Georgia attended Union High School. She attended Spartanburg Technical College and became a certified nursing assistant at Heartland of Union County.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie “Jack” Green, and Allen Todd Green; one sister, Alice Marie Green; two sisters-in-law, Alice C. Green, and Shirley Green.

She leaves precious and fond memories with her husband, Lenwood Allen; three sons, Cedrick Green, Jimmie Green, and Demond Green; one daughter, Vanessa (Keshaun) Porter; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley William Green; three sisters, Lisa Green, Linda Jo Green Farr, Melody Crank (Jesse); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
