Gary Lamar Daniels

Gary Lamar Daniels was born August 11, 1963, in Brunswick, GA to Clarence and Mary F. Daniels. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 27, 2022.

Gary was a 1982 graduate of Newton County High School in Covington, GA. After graduation, he entered the US Navy and served aboard the USS Midway for four years. He was honorably discharged from the Navy and returned to Covington, GA. He eventually moved to the Metro Atlanta area a few years later.

Later in life, his son, Mikel L. Smith, was born on October 18, 1988. At a later period in his life, he met Rochelle Johnson. They were married  April 14, 2000.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory his mother and father, Clarence and Mary F. Daniels of Spartanburg, SC; his wife, Rochelle Daniels of Atlanta, GA; one son, Mikel Smith of Atlanta, GA; several aunts, Charlie D. Atkinson, Cheryl S. Williams (Franklin), Shirley D. Davis; and a host of cousins.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Dortch - Williamson Funeral Chapel.
