Freda Ann (Rice) Johnson

Freda Ann Rice Johnson, 75, of Union, SC, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at her residence. A native of Union County, she was the wife of Charles Edward Johnson and daughter of the late Berry Rice and Zinnie Tucker Rice.

Freda graduated from Sims High School, class of 1968. She was formerly employed as a custodian at Union Medical Center. She was a member of Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Freda is preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Wyatts; five brothers, Berry Rice, Jr., James Rice, Robert Rice, Clifford Rice, Joe Louis Rice.

Left to cherish fond and precious memories are her husband, Charles Johnson; one son, Kevin Johnson; one daughter, Terachia Rice; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Sanders, Barbara Rice, and Mary Rice; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 202 Tillman Street, Union, SC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
