Flossie Mae Hughes

Flossie Mae Hughes, 79, of Union, SC, passed away on July 29, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Herman Hughes, and Ossie Mae Smith Hughes.

Flossie graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1965. She worked for many dedicated years at MayFair Mills. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairforest.

In addition to her parents, Flossie is preceded in eternal rest by one sister, Heddie Hughes Varner.

Left to cherish fond and precious memories are her sons; Timothy Hughes, and Melvin Hughes; daughter, Ieshia Good; brother, Willie Lee (Shirley) Eison; sister, Josephine Hughes; two special children, Aliyah Booker and Alexis Booker, who lovingly called her grandma; a close childhood friend, Dorothy Greeley; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends in the community all of whom will miss her dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
