Evelyn Elaine (West) Fowler

Evelyn Elaine West Fowler, 76, of Greensboro, NC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Beacon Place Hospice Care. A native of Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Earl West, Sr. and Carrie Wallace West. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC. She was a proud graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School, Pacolet, SC, class of 1968. Evelyn went on to work for the Rockingham County Government Center in Reidsville, NC. She retired in 2015 after many years of loyal and dedicated service. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching her favorite T.V. shows, and shopping.

Evelyn was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest West; two sisters, Joan Barton and Earlene Wofford; and a special friend, Walter S. Wilson, Jr.

She leaves fond and precious memories to one son, Winfred L. (Melissa) Mings; one daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) Woodard; four grandchildren, Brandon (Britni) Mings, Noah Mings, Quentin Mings, and Devin Ellington; great-granddaughter, Amirah Mings; one brother, Earl West, Jr.; three sisters, Carrie Meadows, Colean Buckson, and Brenda Miller; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will sorely miss her.

Arrangements are in the care of Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
