Emily Diane Jeter Gaffney was born on Sept. 22, 1988. A native of Union, SC, she was the wife of Annias Gaffney of the home and the daughter of the late Fred Jeter and Debra Hopkins Jeter
A Life Well Spent
Emily was a member of Life Changing Ministry and a 2006 graduate of Union High School. She had a contagious laugh, and she had a pure heart of gold and the most beautiful soul. She was a stay-at-home mom of three children, an avid baker, and she loved to cook. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, kids, big sister Jessica, niece Iyana and great nephew Jaiden whom she called her “Lubbit Baby”.

On Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, God decided that he wanted to pick the most beautiful “sunflower” in the garden, and she departed this world of sin and entered the gates of Heaven where she was welcomed with open arms by her “Da”. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Dean Jeter; a sister, Sharon Patrice Jeter; a nephew, Quentin Dean Jeter; her paternal grandparents, Ezell and Lorene Jeter; her maternal grandparents, Arthur Jeter and Emma Hopkins; brother-in-laws, Michael Gaffney, and Eric Harmon.

In addition to her husband, she leaves fond memories to her two sons, NiCayden and Deacon Gaffney and one daughter, Genesis “Snooka” Gaffney, of the home; one sister, Jessica (Jerry) Hall of Greenville, SC; brother-in-law, William (Lanora) Gaffney of Santuc, SC; sister-in-law, Angela Gaffney, of Santuc, SC; nieces, Angelica Johnson and Chanda Eison of Union, SC, Iyana Tucker of Greenville, SC and Alexis Gaffney of Florence, SC; nephews, Toney Coleman, Josh Jeter, and Michael Gaffney of Union, SC, and Jerryan Hall of Greenville, SC. A special great-nephew, Jaiden Harley of Greenville, SC, her “fur baby” Khloe Mae; aunts, Judy Washington, and Mae Johnson Lykes of Columbia, SC, Elaine Peake, Mary Hopkins Browning, Diane Seabrooks, Phylis Jennings, and Maxine Jennings of Union, SC, and Evelyn Johnson of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Kevin Johnson, Benjamin Johnson of Union, SC and Eric Johnson of Atlanta, GA; five great-nieces, seven great-nephews; her best friends, Heather Jeter and Reniro Tucker of Union, SC and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
