Elbert Troy "Tubby" Blackley, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Saturday January 21, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Elbert Converse Blackley and Fannie Mozell Thompson Blackley. He served proudly in the United States Marines and worked as a skilled Logger.
Among the hobbies he enjoyed, he especially loved fishing and hunting. Often times he was accompanied by his beloved beagle, Queenie.
Mr. Blackley was predeceased by three brothers, Ellis Roy Blackley, Johnny Lee Landrum, L.C. Struggs; and four sisters, Elizabeth Minnie Thomas, Iona Durell, Brenda Louise Glenn, Alice Elois McManus.
He leaves cherished memories to one son, Troy Anthony (Chesnee) Epps; one daughter, Geneva (Timothy) Farr; two adoring grandchildren, Timothy Tyrone Farr, Jr. and Ava Noell Epps; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will sorely miss him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., Spartanburg, SC.
