Edward Lamar "Shiek" McBeth, 43, of Pacolet, SC passed away on Saturday night, February 4, 2023 in Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Annie Mae Lott McBeth and the late Billy Shippy. He was a 1997 graduate of Broome High School and attended both Spartanburg Community College and Virginia College. He was a member of New Salem Zion Baptist Church. "Shiek" as he was known by many, was employed with BMW.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Rory Fitzgerald McBeth, Sr.; two sisters, Sherry Shippy, Deanna "June" Dawkins; and his maternal grandparents, Wallace and Daisy Mae Lott.
"Shiek" leaves precious memories to five sons, Christian Harris, Deyontrez Littlejohn, Cameron Bonner, Willie Harris, Jamison Harris; two grandchildren, Kierra and Skylar Harris; his mother, Annie Mae Lott McBeth; four brothers, Cedrick (Ann) McBeth, Oren (Leverne) McBeth, Billy Shippy, Jr., Jakeem (Ebony) Shippy; two sisters, April McBeth, Robin Shippy; two goddaughters, Miliah Rainey, Elayjah Wood; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
