Mr. Eddie Dean Dogan, Sr. was born in Spartanburg County, SC on May 6, 1941. He entered eternal rest Sunday morning on July 7, 2024, in Spartanburg, SC. He was the widow of Lillie Mae Stroble Dogan and son of the late Crawford Lee Dogan and Loreena Pearson.
Mr. Dogan was a member of Mount Zion World Outreach. He attended until his health declined. He attended the public schools of Spartanburg County and was an employee of the Coca Cola Bottling Company and Civiltan Workshop.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death his daughter, Linda G. Hillstock; sister, Mary Ann Pearson; two aunts who reared him, Minnie Lee Moring and Flozeena Edith Pearson; sister-in-law, Ruby Pearson; and dear cousins, Roy Pearson, Sr., Robert “Bo” Montgomery, Johnnie Lee Pearson, Robert Earl Montgomery, and Jennie Ruth Pearson.
Mr. Dogan leaves fond and loving memories to his son, Eddie D. Dogan, Jr.; two daughters, Eddie Mae (Demetrius) Walker, Betty (Thomas) Mayfield; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Reverend Charles Pearson; a nephew, Ricky Stroble, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc. 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
