Earl Dean Peeler 80, of Pacolet Mills, SC, was born on Tuesday, October 10, 1944, and peacefully departed this life on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his home. A native of Gaffney, SC, he was the husband of Emily Irene Buice Peeler and son of the late Horace Peeler and Ruby Horn Peeler.
Earl received his education in Cherokee County Public Schools. For more than thirty years, he proudly operated the Highway 150 convenience store, where his warm smile and welcoming personality greeted all who entered. He never met a stranger and was known for his sense of humor, and making others laugh. Beyond business, Earl enjoyed riding motorcycles, a passion that spanned much of his life. He was also a member of Goucher Baptist Church in Goucher, SC.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Moore; a stepdaughter, Krystal Burkholder; and a step-granddaughter, Madelyn Logan Burkholder.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Emily Irene Buice Peeler; his son, Michael (Cheryl) Peeler; step-son, Eddie Burkholder (Teresa); step-daughter, Sherry B. Furr (Dolan); and step-son, Anthony Burkholder (Jana); fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy of kindness, humor, and friendship will remain in the hearts of many.
