Doris Elizabeth "Evon" (Lyles) Harris

Doris Elizabeth "Evon" Lyles-Harris, 69, of Conyers, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital. A native of Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Earle Lyles, Sr. and Flossie B. Lyles. She attended Spartanburg High School and was employed at Phillips Fiber Corporation for a number of years. Doris was married to Marvin Harris and to this union, one beautiful daughter, Michelle Renee Harris-Shippy was born.

Throughout her life, she was a gift to many children that she kept over the years, whom she adored with all her heart. Doris was loved by so many people all of her life. She really loved her church and her pastor, Reverend Dawkins.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Earle Lyles, Jr.

She leaves precious memories to her daughter, Michelle Renee (Steven) Shippy-Harris; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, John Bogan; two sisters, Jessie Mae Lyles and Lorinda Brown;  three aunts, Mary B. Feaster, Anni Ruth Feaster and Johnnie (Gary) Roseburg; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
