Dora Lee (Gore) Hampton

Dora Lee Gore Hampton, 75, of Union, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born on Monday, April 17, 1950, she was the wife of Wade Edward Hampton and the daughter of the late Willis Gore and Celia Ann Norris Gore. Doris graduated from Sims High School, class of 1968. She worked many years in manufacturing. She was a member of Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church in Buffalo, SC.

In addition to her parents, Dora is preceded in death by her son, Wade Edward Hampton, Jr.; four brothers, Victor Gore, Sam Gore, George Gore, and Willie Mack Gore; and one sister, Angienella Giles.
Dora leaves to cherish fond memories to her husband, Wade E. Hampton; son, Timothy (Donna) Hampton; two daughters, Latoya Shonika Hampton (Fredricus Smith), and Natasha Shanelle (Maurice) Wedman; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Lewis Gore; two sisters, Debra Ann Darby, and Agnes J. Gilliam; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends at 104 Reed Street, Union, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
