Debra Jean Johnson

Debra Jean Thompson Johnson, 66, of Union, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Union Medical Center.   A native of Union County, SC, she was the widow of Christie Columbus “Chris” Johnson and the daughter of the late Wilbur Thompson, Sr. and Rosa Addie Pendergrass Thompson.

She was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She attended the public schools of Union County.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Paul Gene Thompson; one daughter, Tammy Catrice Thompson; and three brothers, Wilbur Thompson, Jr., Neville Thompson, and Ralph Thompson. 

She leaves precious memories to two daughters, Tina  (Antonio) Smith and Tonya (Kenneth) Tucker; fourteen grandchildren, Stevon, Danny, Jr, Romeo, Marissa, Kayla, De’Aria, Me’Aria, Tia’Maryiah, Rihanna, Kobe, Aregus, Kent Jr, Ta’Nyla, and Taylor; ten great-grandchildren, Mari, Josiah, Malia, Enzo, Marley, Kylan, Te’Arra, Neveah, and Aiden;  three brothers, Leroy (Geraldine) Thompson, James Thompson, Odell Thompson; four sisters, Deloris (Lawrence) Booker, Mae Salter, Virginia Rice, Dorothy

 Wallace; and a host of nieces, nephews, including two special nieces, Jazmine Wallace (Joidyn and Justice) Denterrica Thompson (Ja’Darian, Ja’Darianna and Jamarriah); cousins, and friends.
