Obituary

Deacon Jassie "Joe" Bell, Jr., 71, of 280 Bridges Street, Inman, SC passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center.  A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the husband of Deborah L.  Bell.  He was the son of the late Jassie Bell, Sr. and Carrie Murphy Bell.  He was a member of Maxwell Chapel Baptist Church, Double Springs Masonic Lodge #177,  and Tamin Temple #155.  He attended Allen University in Columbia, SC and was a retiree of Milliken and Company.  He was owner/operator of Bell Septic Tank.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Bell, one sister, Patricia Ann Bell, and one granddaughter, Josia Bell.  Those left to cherish his loving memory include his wife Deborah Lyles Bell of the home; , one son, Jassie (Tiffany) Bell, III of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Keshia (Bryant) Boyd and Tiffany Wilburn both of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren, Antonio, Langston, Justin, Joshua, Jaslyn, and Jassie, IV, one sister, Flossie Porter of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 1 pm at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Heritage Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
