David Russell "Smoke" Davenport

David Russell "Smoke" Davenport, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. 

A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Williams Davenport and Jeanette Steen Davenport.

David was also preceded in death by his two brothers Elvis Wade Davenport and James Steen, his sister Patricia Davenport Otah and son Brandon Joseph Davenport.

He leaves to cherish many memories his wife, Deborah Williams Davenport; son Brian Davenport (LaToya); daughter Coquita Jackson; four grandchildren, Timothy Brannon Jr., Sandrea Fernanders, Krishae Jackson-Foote and Bryce Davenport; and great grandchild, Timaray Brannon; two sisters, Rose Davenport Davis (Spartanburg) and Brenda Davenport Prude (Columbia); a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends, all of whom will truly miss him.

A memorial service has been arranged by the family. For those who wish to commemorate his life, service time and location have been announced below.
