Cynthia Thompson

Cynthia Thompson, 75, of Carlisle, SC, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at her residence. A native of Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arenious and Eliza Lyles Thompson.

She was a Sims High School graduate and went on to earn her living as a Federal Government employee in Washington, DC. Upon her retirement, Ms. Thompson moved back home to South Carolina where it all began. She was known by her family to be dependable, always making herself available when needed.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Rubin "Joe" Thompson, Charles Thompson, David Thompson; two sisters, Ellen Thompson Chambers, Daisy Bellamy; and her dear and close friend, Ray Luckey, Jr.

She leaves fond and precious memories to three sisters, Mary Lou Sims, Wilhelmenia (Ronald) Muhammad and Iownia Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews, to include special niece, Catina (Albert) Whitener and special nephew, Donnie Thompson, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will sorely miss her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
