Connie Campbell Obituary

Connie Gail Campbell, 82, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on April 6, 2023 in Lake Emory Acute Care. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Russell Jones and Illa Louise Jones.  She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Ms. Campbell was a dedicated employee of Spartanburg Medical Center for over forty years.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Russell Jones, Jr. and George Washington Nash; three sisters, Mary Eliza Thompson, Carrie Lee Lyles, and Margaret Tanner.

Connie loved the Lord. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She leaves loving memories to one son, Donald Campbell; one daughter, Gail Campbell; three grandchildren, Kendrick Tyrazz Gary, Kanesha (Demetrius) Mitchell, and Jamiyah (Shykeem) Meadows; four great-grandchildren, Jamarion Williams, Aaliyah Gary, Dallis Williams and Mason Mitchell; two sisters, Sarah Lee Means, and Dr. Emma J. Patton; dedicated niece, Darline Ross; like a daughter, Felicia Maldonado; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends, all of whom will sorely miss her. The family will receive friends at 475 Arkwright Drive, Spartanburg, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
