Christy Denise “Red” Boyd

Christy Denise “Red” Boyd, 38, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Tuesday evening, September 7, 2021, in St Francis Bon Secours Hospital in Greenville, SC.  A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of Margaret Boyd and the late Willie Frank Stroble.  Christy was a graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School and an employee of the Coca Cola Bottling Company.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Willis D. Boyd; paternal grandmother, Carrie Lee Stroble Miller; maternal grandmother, Ruby Martin Boyd; and her maternal grandfather, Paul Martin Boyd.  She is survived by three sons, Jabarrius Scott, Kayden Watson, and Kasen Watson; one daughter, Destiny Watson; her mother, Margaret Boyd; one brother, Frank Boyd; paternal grandfather, Robert Lee Miller and a host of other family members. The family will receive friends at the home.   Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Friendship Baptist Church of Spartanburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
