Christie Columbus Johnson

Christie Johnson, 67, of Union, SC passed away Thursday evening, June 4, 2020 in Spartanburg Reginal Hospice Home.  A native of Union County, SC, he was the husband of Debra Thompson Johnson and the son of the late Leroy Johnson, Sr. and Odessa Johnson Lovett.  He attended the House of Reconciliation before his health declined. He was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from the Dollar General Distribution Center.  he was a member of the gospel unlimited.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leroy Johnson, Jr.; a sister, Lillian Peeples; a stepson, Paul Gene Thompson; and a stepdaughter, Tammy Catrice Thompson.  Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Christopher Johnson and William Ryan (Kindra) Johnson; two daughters, Latricia Johnson and Pricilla Johnson; two stepdaughters, Tina  (Antonio) Smith and Tonya  (Kenneth) Tucker; twenty-three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Arthur Johnson and Charles Edward (Freda) Johnson; one sister, Sarah (Lattimore) Worthy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  . The family will receive friends at 109 Southwood Drive,  Union, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
