Carolyn Joanne (Wilkins) Briggs

Carolyn Joanne Wilkins Briggs, 70, of Inman, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Chandler Creek Post Acute Care. A native of Inman, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Jefferson Wilkins, Sr., and Jeanette Atia Blackley Wilkins. She was a member of Ridgeville Baptist Church in Inman, SC.

Carolyn graduated from Boiling Springs High School, class of 1971. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at Limestone College. She positively impacted many young minds as an Early HeadStart teacher.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Adham Jabir Bahir a.k.a. Anthony Justin Briggs, III; two brothers, William Jefferson Wilkins, Jr., and Melvin Leroy Wilkins.

She leaves precious and fond memories to her son, Dameion (Aaliya) Briggs; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha (Don) Wilkins Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
