Candice (Smith) Crosby

Candice Montee Smith “PJ” Crosby, 42 of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Upstate Community Hospice House-Agape Care. A native of Union, SC, she was the wife of Kelvin Crosby and the daughter of Terrell Wayne Robinson and the late Beverly Jean Smith Moore.

She was a member of The Worship Center of Roebuck, SC and a 1999 graduate of Union Comprehensive High School. She went on to receive an associate degree from Kings College, Charlotte NC, Piedmont Technical College, Greenwood, SC, and Spartanburg Community College. She served four years in the United States Navy and was employed at White Oak Manor as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Kelvin Crosby of the home; two daughters, Jasmyn Smith and Kiara Crosby; her godparents, Howard “Trelle” (Gayle) Free; goddaughter, Sharon L. Smith; one sister, Victoria Shippy; mother-in-law, Linda Ferguson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, to include special cousins, Yolanda Moore, Tracey Lee, and Aca Jeter, and other relatives and friends to include Deshanna McMullins, Portia Braxton, Robin Hines, and Jennifer Miller; all of whom will sorely miss her. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
