Calvin Brown Jr., was born on May 1, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York. He was also known as Brown, Brown, Brown, or Junior Brown. He was the son of the late Calvin Brown and Gladys (Laurel Prince) Brown. Calvin received his GED and attended Job Corp. He worked at UPS as a packager in Texas. He also worked at the Brooklyn Navy yard and Recreation Center in Brooklyn, New York. His favorite NFL team was the New York Giants. His hobbies were playing music and dancing.
In addition to his father, Calvin was preceded in death by his uncles, Fletcher Kershaw, Gene Kershaw, Isaiah Kershaw, Tushae Brown; aunts, Barbara Jean Kershaw, Mary Elizabeth Ann Kershaw Dunlap, and Betsy Brown.
Left to cherish fond memories are his mother, Gladys Brown; a special friend, Elvira Brown of Union, SC; one sister, Juanita (Troy) Spencer, of Union, SC; two step-brothers, Laurel and Lennox Prince of Brooklyn, NY; seven uncles, Abraham (Edith) Brown of Wilmington, NC, James (Renea) Brown of Brooklyn, NY, Eli Brown of Stone Mountain, GA, Randy (Denise) Campbell of Wilmington, NC, Charlie Brown of Lousiana, Johnny Kershaw of Union, SC, and Leroy (Maxine) Dunlap of Union, SC; two aunts, Eva Brown of Brooklyn, NY and Brenda Kershaw of Union, SC; four nephews, five great nephews; three great nieces; and a host of cousins and friends all of whom will greatly miss him.
