Bobby Gene Tate, 74, of 205 Wilkinsville Road, Gaffney, SC passed away October 7, 2020 at his residence. A native of Gaffney, SC, he was the son of the late Nathaniel and Lillian Dunn Tate. He graduated from Granard High School in Gaffney and retired from Connecticut Village Apts., Gaffney, maintenance department after many years of loyal service. Mr. Tate was predeceased by one brother, John Dunn; two sisters, Joanne Adams and his twin, Norma Dunn Jolly; one granddaughter, Nicchole Tate. He leaves fond memories to one son, Elex Dowdle, Gaffney, SC; two daughters, Leslie Tate, Trenton, NJ and La'Keisha Dowdle-Miller, Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Ann Grant, Detroit, MI, Lucy Littlejohn, Norfolk, VA, and Mae Charles Dunn, New York, NY; thirteen grandchildren, Sharee Tate, Kelvin Barnes, Jr., Christopher Tate, Jenise Stepp, Shavarra Henson, all of Trenton, NJ, Marqueise Mkpunchina, Milford, DE, Terlayra Tate, Willingboro, NJ; reared as his own, Thomas Dowdle (Kiera), Ken'dre Dowdle, Zechariah Dowdle, Shakayla Garrison, Daryl Garrison, Jr. and Ireyanna Jeter; two aunts, Flossie Mae Wilkins, Gaffney, SC and Perniece Cornwall, Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
