Bobby Edward "Boss" Davis

Bobby Edward "Boss" Davis, 65, of Union, SC passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Spartanburg Medical Center.    A native of Union, SC, he was son of the late Jake Davis, Sr. and Eliza Stevens Davis.  He joined Foster Chapel Baptist Church in Jonesville at an early age.  He was a 1973 graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from Walmart Distribution in 2018.  Bobby was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jake Davis, Jr. and two sisters, Annie Gist and Helen Ruth Davis Smith.  Those left to cherish his loving memory include,  two sons, Antonio (Yakeisha) Shippy of Pacolet, SC and Travis Davis of Union, SC;  two daughters, Tamara Davis (Sammie) Young, Jr. and Tia Davis both of Union, SC; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Lawrence Davis, Sr. (Bobbie Henderson) of Union, SC; three sisters, Shirley Ann Davis of Long Island, NY, Margaret Davis (Charles) Allen, Sr. of Brooklyn, NY and Gracie Davis (Dennis Graham) of Jonesville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Gracie Davis, 453 Bob Little Road, Jonesville, SC.Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
