Obituary
Bernice Harrell Wilkins, wife of Robert James Wilkins, Sr. and daughter of the late Eddie Harrell and Mary Nemore Harrell, was born on February 24, 1947, in the historic community of Welch, West VA in the heart of the mountains. Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother entered eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Bernice attended the public schools of McDowell County and was a homemaker caring for her family. She earned an associate degree from Spartanburg Community College.
Bernice leaves fond and loving memories to her husband, Robert James Wilkins, Sr.; two sons, Robert James Wilkins, Jr. and Ronnie (Karen Martin-Wilkins) Wilkins; one daughter, Pearl B. Wilkins (Daniel) Adams; four grandchildren, Leanne Wilkins, Ethan Wilkins, Acadia Nicole Adams, and Shameica Adams; one sister, Maxine Harrell Pack; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Darryl Eugene Wilkins.
Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
