On Tuesday, July, 11, 2023, the earthly life of Bernard "Dee" Dawkins came to an end. A place is vacant in our lives which can never be filled.
Bernard "Dee" Dawkins was the son of the late Ms. Carrie Lee Dawkins.
Bernard graduated from Union High School, USC-Union, and The University of South Carolina Spartanburg. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee, a member of the All-Male Choir, the Adult Choir, and the Grave Yard Committee. He was the treasurer for the Buffalo Teen Center. He was the Past Master of Widow Son Lodge #34, Past High Priest of Enterprise Chapter chapter #25, Honorary Past Grand High Priest, Honorary Past Potentate Tamin Temple #155, he was ILL. Deputy of the Oasis Spartanburg, the 33rd Degree Mason of JE Dixon Consistory 217. He was past Eminent Commander of R E White Chapter #4 of Knights Templar. He was a member of the Royal and Slect Masters of South Carolina and a member of Bethlehem Chapter of the Order of Eastern Stars. Bernard was a licensed Bail Bondsman for the State of South Carolina.
Many fond and lovely memories will be cherished by his family. A brother Kenneth "Coon" Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Raymouth Dawkins and Katherine Johnson of Union, SC. He was also cherished by Sharette Glenn and Michael Adams, reared in the home. He also will be missed by his neices, nephews, family and many friends.
