Barbara Jean Young

Barbara Jean Young was born in Spartanburg County, SC on Friday, June 18, 1948. She entered eternal rest on Monday morning, September 9, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Young, Sr., and Lucille Beatty Young.

Barbara attended the public schools of Spartanburg County and was a graduate of Carver High School. She worked for many years in the textile industry at Beaumont Mills in Spartanburg, SC. She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church.

She leaves endearing memories with two sons, Kenneth Young and Robert Ballenger; one grandson, Kenneth Lamar Young; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
