Barbara Jean (Anderson) Walker

Barbara Jean Anderson Walker, 64, of Wellford, SC passed away November 2020.  A native of Spartanburg, SCshe was the wife Purvis Walker and the daughter of the late John Willie Anderson and Clara Mae Barnard Anderson.  She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Inman, SC.  She was affectionately called "Ms. Barbara".  She was a former employee of Mayfair Mills for over twenty-five years and later worked in home healthcare with Eden Terrace and in private duty.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Clara Mae Means and Elaine Anderson-Griffin; and one brother, James "Ankie" Anderson.  Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one daughter, Cynthia Brown; one stepdaughter, Anna Jones; three grandchildren, Cynterria Meadors, Raquel Brown, and Nicholas Brown; two brothers, John W. (Linda) Anderson, Jr. and Dewayne (Altie) Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other loving friends.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
