Barbara Jean (Grogan) Fooks

Barbara Jean Grogan Fooks, 73, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at her residence. A native of Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Lee Alexander Grogan. She attended and graduated from Spartanburg County Schools. She was employed for many years at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind.

Ms. Fooks was preceded in death by one grandson, Darius Lee.

She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories one son, Anton S. (Sonja) Fooks; two daughters, Ruby (Mitchell) Blakey and LaTonya Fooks; ten loving grandchildren; three adoring great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda L. Carter and Laverne Williams; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary Inc. 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
