Mrs. Barbara Jean Fielder entered eternal rest on June 2, 2022, at Westbury Nursing home in McDonough, Georgia. Mrs. Fielder was the stepdaughter of the late Mr. Earl Foster and daughter of Mrs. Jesse Farr Foster. She was the widow of Mr. Stanley Fielder.
After the closing of Butte Knitting Mills, Mrs. Fielder found passion in serving as a caregiver of young children. She had a quiet and elegant demeaner. She was very compassionate and always a good listener to those in need. Prior to her illness, she was an active member of Majority Baptist Church. Mrs. Fielder loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. She often ended a conversation with “God Bless You.” Through her many health challenges, she fought the good fight, kept the faith and now eternally rests. She will truly be missed and always remembered for her devotion, dedication, and caring heart.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her sons Leroy (Butch) Wilks Jr., Tim (Karen) Fielder, daughter in law, Donna Fielder, grandchildren Leroy Wilks III, Joshua Fielder, DeAngelis Fielder, Chloe Mukherjee, Corinne Fielder, Jennifer O’Hara, one uncle Paul Farr, special cousin Joyce Cheeks, special nieces Thomascena Crawford, Vera Ware and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children, Jennifer Wilks, and Derwin Fielder.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
