Life Profile
On January 17, 2025, God called home one of his own Mrs. Azalee Comer Cannon.
Mrs. Cannon was born September 27, 1930, raised as a native of Union, South Carolina to the late Luther “Bill” Comer and Evelyn Barnett Comer.
Mrs. Cannon was the owner and cofounder of Cannon and Sons Mortuary in Landrum, SC. A devoted domestic worker and Receptionist for Dr. James.
She was a member of New Pilgrim Baptist Church where she was the Honorary Mother of the Church. She served faithfully on the Missionary Board and in Trusteeses Ministry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years Piece Cannon.
Those left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories are her children; Virginia Morgan (Jimmy) of Union, SC, Franklin P. Cannon II (Annettee) of Landrum, SC, Stephen Cannon of Landrum, SC, Glenna Faye Holcombe of Welford, SC, 8 grandchildren Teresa Glenn (Elliott), Wayne Dawkins, Wendy Jones (Reggie), Kimberly Holcombe, Charity “Candace” Cannon (Kevin), Precious Cannon Littlejohn (Gerald), Stephen “Lorenzo” Cannon (Amanda), Dr. Franklin P Cannon III; 11 great grandchildren; Deion, Chelsey, Jordan, Shane, Elijah C, Gabriella, Jaxson, Audrey Rose, Saint, Elijah H, Xavion; 3 great great grandchildren Zoey, Tatum, Raegan Blu, loving first cousin Gladys Comer Garnee, and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Life Celebration will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at New Pilgrim Baptist Church 5040 Rainbow Lake Road, Campobello, SC. The family will receive friends and family an hour prior to service at 1 pm to 2 pm.

Community Mortuary of Spartanburg, SC will be in charge of the services.
