Ayrie Mae (Peeples) Young

Ayrie Mae Peeples Young, 74, of Union, SC passed away September 25, 2021 in Spartanburg Medical Center.  A native of Union County, SC. she was the daughter of Luvenia Eison Lindsay and the late Adam Peeples, Jr.    She a 1964 graduate of Sims High and a former employee of Buffalo Mills.  She was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by  her father; three brothers, Adam "Tommy" Peeples, III, Leon Hellams, and LeVorn "Boss" Sims  Hughes, and one sister, Naomi Howard.  She is survived by three sons, Bryant Young, Calvin "Chip" (Angela) Young, and Antione "Tony" (Fran) Young; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Lewis (Patricia) Peeples and Demetrius (Valerie) Hellams; three sisters, Freda Hellams, Kimberly (Larry) Page, and Yvonne Hellams; and a host of nieces,  nephews, and cousins.  The family will receive friends at 304 Wilson Road, Union, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc. 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
