Aurelia Long Meador, 96, was born in Union, SC on December 26, 1923. A native of Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wright and Gracie Watkins Long. Aurelia Meador was a member of the former Mitchell Chapel Baptist Church/Mitchell Chapel Christian Church, she served as an usher for many years, a choir member, and on the Missionary Board. She visited the sick and served as a caregiver. She loved caring for her family and others. “MeMa” loved everyone she came in contact with and she loved her family, church, and reading her Bible. She entered eternal rest on July 31, 2020 in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home Center in Union, SC. She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Meador Sr; two sons; five brothers; and three sisters. She leaves precious memories to her three daughters, Betty Gallman of Union, SC, Barbara Jean Meadow of Brooklyn, NY, and Mary Ann Meadow of Spartanburg, SC; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; thirty great-great-grandchildren; other children she raised, Karen Edward, Kathy Edward, and Bush Edward; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Dorothy Smith; other caregivers at Ellen Sagar; or other loving relatives and friends. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary of 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
