Aubrey Jeter

Aubrey Jeter, 69, of Gaffney, SC passed away on December 2, 2022, at his residence. A native of Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Robert "Bowleg" Jeter, Sr. and Sylvia Elmira Young Jeter. He was a graduate of Union High School and worked at United Merchants Buffalo Mill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Jeter and Harold Jeter, Sr. He is survived by one daughter, Sonya Edwards of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, LaShaundra Jeter, Sylister Jeter, Allan Edwards, Jr. and Chekira Edwards all of Spartanburg, SC; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert (Sherry) Jeter of Kings Mountain, NC, Clarence Jeter of Gaffney, SC, Kenneth Lee (Rhonda) Jeter of Jonesville, SC, and Kelvin Jeter of Melbourne, FL, NM; six sisters, Rosalind Doggette of Union, SC, Andrena (Larry) Jennings of Columbia, SC, Betty Ann Jeter of Union, SC, Barbara Jeter of Roebuck, SC, Jacqueline (Shun) Goforth of Boiling Springs, SC, and Cleverland Jeter of Gaffney, SC; uncles, John W. “Pong Pong” Young, Sr. of Union, SC and Clint Gregory, Sr. of Union, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
