Ashley Danelle Rice

Ashley Danelle Rice, 37, of Union, SC passed away Saturday afternoon, October 29, 2022 at her residence.  A native of Union County, SC, she was the daughter of Mae Ella Jones Rice and the late Leroy Gibson, Jr.  She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.  She was a 2004 graduate of Union High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Benedict College. She was an employee of the SC Department of Correction – Tyger River Correctional Institution. Survivors in addition to her mother include three brothers, Dejuan Rice, Cory White, and Jarvis Rice; one sister, Aderricka (Jon) Napper; and host of  nieces, nephew, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in the chapel of Community Mortuary.  The family will receive at 108 Richard Street, Union, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
