Anthony Smith

Anthony Smith, 56, of Spartanburg, SC transitioned on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was born July 13, 1969, to Boyd (Peggy) Talley, and the late Gloria Smith.

Anthony was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, class of 1988. He formerly worked at Zeuna Staerker in Spartanburg, SC, as a skilled welder.

In addition to his mother, Anthony was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bennie L. Miller, Sr. and mother-in-law, Frances J. Miller.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his wife of 28 years, Linda Linette Smith; one daughter, Dayonna Moore; four sons, Nicholas Smith, Akiem Jones, Alijawon Miller, and Jalek Miller; 20 grandchildren to include 2 granddaughters reared in the home, Jalia Miller and Jayda Miller; three sisters, Anita (Drew) Murray, Cathy Talley, and Lynn Talley; two brothers, Rickey (Jackie) Talley, and Joseph “Pete” Talley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will dearly miss him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
