Annie Sims

Annie Ruth Sims, 75, of 786 Bailey Town Road, Union, SC passed on Monday evening, October 3, 2022, in Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Union County, SC, she was a widow and the daughter of the late Deacon Ed Sims, Jr. and Annie Bell Reid Sims. She was a homemaker and a member of Mitchell Chapel Christian Church.  She was a graduate of Sims High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one, son, Larry Sims; three brothers, Ed Brice Sims, Curtis Sims, and Robert Lee Sims; and three sisters,  Jerleen Sims Smith, Janie Mae Sims London, and Ida Mae Robinson. She is survived by one daughter, Queen Sims Glenn (Andrew, Jr.); four grandchildren; Anyetta Sims, Marcus Glenn, Shamondria Sims, and Shuntay Sims; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Reverend George (Mearlean) Sims, Deacon Roosevelt Sims, and Deacon Frank Eugene (Gladys) Sims; two sisters, and Eddie Ruth Artis and Perleen (Lawrence) Wilson; brother-in-law, Willie London; sisters-in-law, Margaret Sims and Vivian Sims; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Funeral services will be held  2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Community Mortuary.  Interment will follow in the Mitchell Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and her son-in-law, Queen (Andrew), 267 Harris Street, Jonesville, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
