Anisa Marie Tucker-Kilgore, the daughter of Mrs. Carolyn B. Robinson Tucker and the late Mr. William Tucker and the mother of William Kilgore, III, Carnissa Kilgore, and Lylah Kilgore, transitioned on April 2, 2022, at WellStar Cobb Hospital, Austell, GA.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. Wilson and Helen T. Robinson; her paternal grandmother, Ms. Mozell Tucker and her sister, Tonya W. Tucker-Smith.
Necie, as she was affectionately known, began her Christian journey after becoming a member of the Saint Paul Baptist Church, Union SC where she was a member of many church ministries. After relocating from Washington, DC to Atlanta, GA with her family to pursue projected career opportunities, she then became a member of the Turner Chapel A.M.E Church, Marietta, GA where she found her passion for working with children. With her passion for children, she joined the Nursery and Peewee ministry to help prepare the children for their future.
Necie was a 1985 graduate of Union Comprehensive High School where she was a member of the Marching Band (The Sting Machine), Gifted & Talented program and was featured in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Necie was a 1989 graduate of the South Carolina State University where she earned a B.S. in Marketing. Her career led her to be a valued employee of LendingPoint, LLC as a sales representative.
We, recognize that “Death” is the vehicle from the land of the dying to the land of the living. Although Necie has transitioned on, she leaves to continue her legacy: her mother, Mrs. Carolyn B. Robinson Tucker of Union, SC; a son, William “BJ” Kilgore, III, and two daughters, Carnissa Kilgore and Lylah Kilgore all of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Kade Kilgore and Knoah Kilgore both of Marietta, GA; a nephew, Alex Smith of Union, SC; a niece, DiAudra Smith; a godson, Mallory Richardson of Covington, LA; two uncles, Stanley Robinson of Union, SC and John (Ernestine) Tucker of Tobyhanna, PA; an aunt, Lizzie Edwards of Brooklyn, NY; a brother-in-law, Alonzo Smith of Union, SC; and other relatives and friends.
