Angel Fashawn Baker, 53, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on September 17, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1970, in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Alan Edward Baker, Sr. and Earlean Smith Baker.
She was a 1988 graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Dayton, OH. She was a former employee of Chrysler Automotive in Dayton, OH. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served as an usher.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ariyonna Royalle Gibson; her mother, Earlean Smith Baker; one sister, Montina Royalle “Tina” Raymond; her paternal grandparents, Wrophas Baker and Gwendolyn Baker Sippial; and her maternal grandparents, Bennie Smith and Willie Mae Smith.
She is survived by her father, Alan Baker, Sr.; her two nieces she reared as daughters, Montierra Fashawn Browning and Mehkia Syre’ Browning; two brothers, Charlie Hennick and Alan Baker, Jr.; two stepsisters, Afi Jones and Terri Browne; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
